    Dr. Candy Ho

    Recently bestowed with the BCIT Distinguished Alumni Award, Dr. Candy Ho is an international award-winning career development educator and scholar whose expertise is recognized globally through keynotes, consulting, and other engagements. Her insights have been featured in prestigious media outlets including BNN Bloomberg, The Globe and Mail, Financial Post, Canadian Business, National Post, Global, and CTV News.

    As President of Career Connections Consulting, she advises organizations spanning from the K-12 system to not-for-profits and government agencies on how best to infuse career development principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to empower today’s workforce to maximize their potential while supporting broader global needs.

    Candy is the Chancellor’s Research Chair at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) and teaches in KPU’s Educational Studies department and in Douglas College’s Career Development Practitioner Program. In 2022, Candy was appointed University Lead, Sustainable Development Goals at KPU to map the university’s initiatives into the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This ambitious mapping project received the Colleges and Institutes Canada Silver SDG Excellence Award.

    She also served as a past-Chair of CERIC, a Canadian charitable organization that advances education and research in career counselling and career development to increase economic and social well-being of Canadians.


    Kenton Low

    Dean, School of Business + Media

    Dean Kenton Low is an educator and senior executive with a record of leadership in companies ranging from entrepreneurial ventures to two of the FORTUNE 50 most admired companies in the world.

    An inspiring educator who infuses real world experiences into his classes, he has taught strategic planning, marketing, and customer experience courses at corporate training programs and universities.

    Before moving into his role at BCIT, Kenton held roles including Chief Marketing Officer for both Vancity and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and President of New Media BC. He also spent 25 years in California where he served as President for Universal Studios Online, Corporate Chief Marketing Officer for Universal Studios, and was a Vice President at the Walt Disney Company. Additionally, Kenton served as a board member for non-profit organizations including United Way, Junior Achievement, and the Los Angeles Food Bank.

    Kenton holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
